…and oh yeah ace my classes.

I’ve really enjoyed being at UCI for summer session; the class load is half of a regular quarter, there are still enough people around to keep things entertaining, and you’re in southern California for summer! It really couldn’t get any better, and the fact that I’m getting ahead by taking a couple extra GEs is awesome. The downside to summer school, 2 hours classes make for a long period of sitting. And if I ever thought 10 weeks was too short, 5 weeks is insane. I am living proof though (as are the hundreds of other students doing summer session) that it is possible. It’s quick, so you are in and out in a flash with time left over to either do summer session two (woohoo more classes done) or spend your time on vacation, with family, at home, etc.

I plan to head back home for the last 6 weeks of summer. Something specific I thought was neat about my experience has been subleasing in Campus Village. I was excited to get to experience another one of UCI’s housing communities, and one I probably would never experience without attending this summer session. And as this 5-week session comes to a close, I will soon take my final exams and head back home to northern California. Adjusting to far from perfect weather will be tough at home, but I look forward to spending time with family and friends before it’s time to head back down south for fall quarter. I’ll be back soon, Irvine!
